The Honda Passport was the manufacturer’s first-ever entry into the booming SUV market, which made its debut in 1993. This SUV was a result of a partnership between Honda and Isuzu, and the model was basically a re-engineered version of the Isuzu Rodeo. Although the Passport was eventually replaced by the more modern Honda Pilot, it still enjoyed quite a bit of success during the 10 years it was produced. Nonetheless, following the success of the Honda-designed CR-V, the company discontinued the Passport and ended its partnership with Isuzu in favor of designing and engineering its own SUV models.
