The Honda Element is a smaller compact crossover SUV that was based off a modified version of the CR-V platform. This four-door crossover was specifically designed to provide a large cargo capacity, with removable rear seats and a large clamshell tailgate and rear side doors. The model also features rear side doors that open backwards to ensure easy and quick loading from the side. Although early sales for the Honda Element exceeded expectations, demand soon tailed off and Honda eventually discontinued the model in 2011.
