The Ford Freestyle, which came to be known as the Ford Taurus X, was a mid size crossover SUV that was briefly produced by the Ford Motor Company in the mid 2000’s. The Freestyle, or Taurus X, was produced from approximately 2005 – 2009 with its most popular year in sales being 2007 with over 70,000 vehicles sold. The moderate sales of the Freestyle began to dwindle and eventually production was pulled on the Ford Freestyle. The closest model currently made to replace the Ford Freestyle is considered to be the Ford Flex.
